April: In Chapters, Not Conclusions..
Chapter 1: The Return of Unfinished Feelings
April brought back fragments I thought I had already made peace with.
Not loudly, not all at once, but in moments.
A thought here. A feeling there. Enough to remind me that healing isn’t linear, and closure isn’t always permanent.
I didn’t try to fight it this time.
I let those emotions exist without rushing to label them as good or bad.
And in doing so, I realised, some things don’t come back to break you, they come back to check if you’ve grown.
And maybe I had.
Chapter 2: Love, But in Quieter Forms..
Amidst that emotional noise, something softer stayed.
Love, but not the overwhelming, cinematic kind. This was different.
It was steady. Almost easy to miss if you weren’t paying attention.
It showed up in conversations that felt safe.
In silences that didn’t feel empty.
In people who didn’t need explanations to understand you.
April reminded me that not all love announces itself. Some of it just… stays.
Chapter 3: A Birthday That Felt Like Release...
This year, my birthday didn’t feel like a celebration.
It felt like a checkpoint.
A quiet moment where I paused and asked myself, what am I still carrying that I no longer need?
And slowly, without ceremony, I began to let go.
Not everything at once. Not perfectly. But intentionally.
Because growing up isn’t just about adding more to your life. Sometimes, it’s about having the courage to subtract.
Chapter 4: Learning to Stay..
There’s a strange kind of peace in not rushing.
In not needing the next big thing to feel fulfilled.
April taught me how to stay, with moments, with people, with myself.
To notice the small things I used to overlook.
To sit with joy without questioning it.
To be present without feeling like I should be somewhere else.
It sounds simple. It isn’t.
But it changes everything.
Chapter 5: The Night That Shifted Something.......
There was no plan.
No long preparation. No countdown.
Just a moment that asked, “Are you ready?”
And for once, I didn’t overthink the answer.
I stepped up and performed my first live poetry piece.
Unplanned. Unfiltered. Uncertain.
I was nervous, yes. But when I began, something settled. The words didn’t feel memorised, they felt lived.
It wasn’t about how it sounded.
It was about what it released.
Because when you finally say what you’ve been holding in, something inside you makes space for more.
And I haven’t been the same since.
Chapter 6: Doing Over Thinking....
For the longest time, I waited.
For clarity.
For confidence.
For the “right” moment.
April disrupted that pattern.
I started acting before I had all the answers. I stopped analysing every step. And strangely, things began to fall into place, not perfectly, but naturally.
Because movement creates its own direction.
And sometimes, doing, even imperfectly, is far more powerful than thinking endlessly.
Chapter 7: Ending Without Urgency...
As April came to an end, there was no dramatic transformation.
No sudden clarity about everything.
Just a quiet shift.
A sense that I didn’t need to rush into the next chapter of life. That I could take my time. That I could trust the pace I’m moving at.
And for the first time in a while, that felt enough.
April gave me a version of myself that feels a little more real.
And maybe that’s what matters.
Because not every month is meant to change your life completely.
Some months are just meant to change how you live it.
And this…
this feels like a beginning I didn’t plan, but I’m ready to continue.
